Lil' help

I've had my 01 wrangler for about a month now and the oil pressure gauge has got me worried. When I first start it in the morning it idles and runs a little above 40. After running for awhile it drops to a little below 40 and way below 40 at idle. Sometimes the check gauge light comes on. Also the temp runs a little above 210. Is this a normal temp? I've been told to change the sending unit for the oil. It's a Wrangler Sport 4.0. Lil help.

Have you changed the oil since you bought it?
I think most 4.0's run around 210 so it sounds like you're ok there.

No. The guy that i bought it from said that he had just had the oil changed. I've been keeping a check on it though and it's got oil in it.

The temp is right, 210 is normal for a 4.0 liter. Start with changing the oil sending unit followed by an oil change using 10w30 oil and filter. See if you still have the same results.

Just because the oil was changed doesn't mean the right oil was used. A thinner / thicker viscosity could have been used which could create this issue.
