Question Looking at 4.88's

I'm looking to go with 4.88's (gear swap) on my 07 Jeep JK (X). It has a 4.5" Lift and 35" BFG's currently and runs like a dog highway and uphill.. Anyone have any experience or comments if this is not a good config to go with?

Thx,

C

4.88s are perfect for 35s- put's your power band back to stock. But the great thing about the JKs is that you can go as deep as 5:13s so if you are looking to go bigger in the future or just want a nice, low 1st gear it's something to consider.

If you have a auto and want 35s, go 5.13 or you will be sorry. I have a 11 3.8 auto with stock tires and went to 4.88 and it is just about perfect. For any bigger tires go the 5.13 or save your money. I have the stock 32 inch tires and never intend to go bigger or it would of been 5.13.
