Looking at a 2001 SE - have a few questions

Found a terrific deal on a 2001 SE 4cyl 5-spd with very low miles.

The only things I don't love about it are the lack of air conditioning and zip-up windows. I also don't love that it's a 4 cylinder, but the price is right and this will be accompanying my ~420hp M3. So no needs for power, just enough to have some fun in with the top off in summer, run errands, and get around in bad weather. My commute is all flat highways and short, so no worries about hills or high speeds. I'm thinking the 4 will be fine.

As far as the A/C and doors, 2 questions:

1. I can live without A/C, but theoretically what would it take to retrofit A/C from used parts?
2. Where/how can I source 2 black doors with crank windows? Is that something that's easy to come by? Couldn't find any on eBay.

Also, anything else I should be aware of before taking the plunge? I'm hoping to have someone in NYC check it out for me that knows Wranglers well and have posted another thread. Hopefully that covers everything.

The 4 cyl is great for bombing around town, it just no speed demon racing people when the light turns green. The 2.5L is a also a very reliable motor.

Full doors can be found on craigslist and ebay...they seem to go for about $1000ish for the pair.

Reliable is good. More reliable than the 6, or about the same?

Seems like "retail" on the used doors is around $1000, I'm guessing it's possible to get them for a bit less via private party?

The ac can be added in a kit for under $1500. Which is pricey still and for the doors just get sliders there $400 new and can be found for about $200 used.
