looking for a soft top, but i need some help

I just purchased my first jeep. Its a 2002 Wrangler SE 2dr and it comes with a hard top, but I would love a soft top for the summer. Any suggestions? .... Plus I cant seem to find any soft tops for the SE model? Like I said its my first jeep so I really don't know what I'm doing. Some suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you.

Welcome to the forum! You have a 2002 TJ Wrangler and I would not worry about the SE unless you find a need for it a some point and time.

If you call any of the on-line parts stores they will walk you thru the process of picking out the top you would like.

4wd.com
quadratec.com

And a whole lot more that I don't know.

Do some searching on-line to get a feel for what you are looking for, then go for it.

Look on craigslist. Your going to need hardware since you dont have it now and a top with hardware is going to be between 500-600. Or get a softopper which is frameless.

The SE is the trim level, it's called a TJ. Like Wranglin said, you will have to get a kit with all of the hardware as you have a hard top.

As stated----the SE is the Trim designation. Most anything you will order or purchase would be for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. Ordering of some items may need transmission type or engine type information. But in General, all that will be required would be
2002 Jeep tj Wrangler.

I have a frameless top I like it a lot it looks great but you would only need to buy a header and tailgate bar. Plus it is also a safari top.
