So about two long months? That doesn't sound to bad especially because you did it alone. What all do you need to complete it? Like do you have a list of parts?
I called Motech last year and got an estimate for a 6.3 LS3 conversion on a 2011 JKUR. They told me $19,300. That included all parts, labor, and sales tax; all you have to do is drop it off, and then pick it up again 10 days later.
Motech is in Las Vegas and they specialize in LS3 swaps.
you mean the 6.2 ls3 that sounds like a good deal if you have the coin, is it a rebuilt engine or new engine? do they offer warranty? what transmission do you plan on running? tire size and gear set up?
You're right, it was the 6.2 and it was a new engine with a new auto transmission that comes with that engine from GM. It had a one year warranty I believe.
Yeah.. that particular engine can be had for about 6200 to 7200 bucks. tranny from about 1200 to about 2200.... radiator 200 to 500 bucks... front drive accessories for about 1000 bucks. wiring harness about 700 to 900 bucks. computer from about 800 to 1000 bucks. keep in mind this is all brand new! So with all the above stated.... 10 to 12 grand and thats not including all the small things such as motor mounts, rad hoses, fluids, etc
