manual transmission problem

hi all im new to the jeep world and just bought one. I need to know if this is normal or not. my jeep is a 1993 4 cylinder 5 speed manual trans. ok when im driving and take it out of gear or just push in my clutch and coast it sounds like a bunch of marbles rattling around. is this normal or do i have a problem? other than that it drives & shifts fine. anyone that could help i would appreciate it thanks.

So I will have to drop my trany out? I'm not a mechanic by trade but I'm mechanicaly inclined and do alot of work myself if i can do it. Whats the dificulty level of this not having a lift at my disposal?

It's not very difficult, but it's not advised to try it solo the first time. If you can't find a local jeeper who can walk you through it, take it to a good mechanic.
