Thank you for thanking us! And let me, in turn, thank all the others.

Now, why is it that, being a veteran, I ALWAYS seem to have to work on Veterans Day and Memorial Day?

Come on Kat, you started the whole hug a nurse thing, I was expecting to get permission to hug a Marine (or ex-Marine as the case may be ).

Thanks to all soldiers past and present!!

I'll be mounting up the new shoes for the wifes jeep on Sat., continuing a pool tournament on Sun (which we are in 1st place), and laying out by the pool and drinking on Monday.

Ditto Seems that way, doesn't it?

Hey Tiny! I think that there are quite a few here on WF that served with the Marines, prolly some in your neighborhood!
(But you could always come to Texas, we'll take good care of ya!)

at the risk of leaving myself wide open for comment: I'm the "touchy/feely" sort.....meaning I'm a hugger

permission given to everyone: give lots of hugs this weekend.......and every day

......go for it, Tiny

Thank you to all who served and especially to those that gave all.

We went out to dinner Friday and got Amy's Jeep stuck then we went garage saling today.

Hey now! I got 6 years of service in the Air Force. I was in Desert Storm, too. I need at least a hug for that.

Thank you

Tiny, as a Marine veteran let me thank you on behalf of the Corps.

BTW - there are no "x" Marines. Some like the term "former". I like the term "veteran". Puts it in the present tense and not the past.

Yep...you can take the man/woman out of the Corps but you can't take the Corps out of them.

Also hugging nurses is a wonderful hobby.

Take care and enjoy the day. I have half an hour to go and I'm off work.

bob

Cool

It was a blessed holiday for us.....Frank's son called from Afghanistan...he is well.

Here's the pics from the parade which resulted in some minor carnage the orange CJ broke a motor mount and yoke off the rear diff trying to lift his wheels while turning (we all have to show off now and then)

the old timers waited with us to line up....we were in good company!

this is our club's brand new banner....pretty spiffy:

good look'n CJ (if I do say so myself)

our weekend ended with Frank running up to the new Paragon property to help cut trails....unfortunately he noticed a good sized leak from the transmission on my Jeep.......oh well, I guess I have to drive the Rubi for another week
