So this past Saturday my cousin got married. Come to find out the bridesmaid I was paired up with drives a 94 YJ. When I found this out I felt like I had found my soul sister.
It's funny how you can automatically like someone you just met upon learning they drive a Jeep. I'm the same way however, I've met a few Jeep owners that I'd like to un-meet, but I just say, "eh, whatever" and move on. I've made a lot of good friends and met a lot of good people over the years because of the shared passion for Jeeps. It really is a "Jeep thing" like they say!
I had a crazy experience Monday myself... A little background, I have really short hair, and often people will comment on it. So I'm leaving the store Monday and this woman comes up to me just as I get in my Jeep. Compliments my hair, and we discuss hair styles for a minute. I look at her jewelry and she's wearing a ring and bracelet that are very, very similar to the ones I wear daily, and while discussing our similar sense of style she says "oh that's my Jeep over there" and points to a white TJ Sahara.... It was kinda cool....
LOL! 2 of my co-workers are bald and have Wranglers. We generally show up at the same time, their tops are down (on their Jeeps) now that the weather is nice. I always hear "hey man, why is your top on"? I always quote George Clooney from the movie Oh Brother Where Are't Thou..."My hair". The wind makes it a mess...Maybe I should try some Daper Dan hair gel so I can be cool like the others and not get pushed down on the play ground!
