Might be another jeep

So I showed my wife a pic of the new 4 door jeep. So now we get to go to the jeep dealer tommorro. She realy like the dark red one in a soft top so that is what we are going to look for.

I do have some questions:
1. anything to look out for
2. do they handle better than a stock TJ

This will be replacing her 06 Fusion that has heated leather seats and front wheel drive. She used to be able to take my ranger to work on snowy days but since I bought the jeep (manual) she can't drive it. I want her to be safe on snowy roads. Plus who doesn't want two jeeps in the drive way.

I know you didnt ask for opinions but I hate them, trying to look like mini-Hummers

Ok i'll take opinions too. The funny thing is my wife and I were thinking of getting a H2 this summer but I think it is too big for her. Plus I don't want my Jeep friends to make fun of me for owning a Hummer.

I love the look of them, I think they look tough but also classy, especially in the sahara. I haven't driven one but they should handle great on the road.

The 4 doors have really grown on me... and if I could afford a new Jk in Rescue Green I'd jump at it.

Good luck!

Yeah, Chad the JK platform really is nice and easy to work with and drive. Sure there are some things that the hardcore off roaders don't like, but it's better mileage with more high end hp which is what your wife will like. She will notice more pep than her little fusion.

I don't know about that I have the V6 fusion with 230ish horsepower. But thats not why I want her to get one, I want her to have a 4x4 not a front wheel drive(saftey reasons). And so she sits higher.

Of course she asked if she could have big tires like me.

AND THAT IS HOW IT STARTS. So if we buy it I guess I have to lift hers too, But it will be a Mall Crawler

Ah, but the good thing about the JK's is that you basically don't even need to lift it to put 33's on it and you can do 35's with just some simple spacers.

I have gotten to drive both the 2 door and the 4door, and pick them both apart for a LONG time. I do the repossesion and lease return appraisals for GMAC, and the auction i go to gets these regularly. At first I was skeptical because of the size. I must say, I REALLY like the 2door. The 4 door is actually very nice also. the only thing I do not like is the fact that the 4 door is OPTIONAL 4x4 and all the electronic stuff. The electronic stuff I can deal with, especially since a lot is federal mandate now. I dont think you will be disapointed. The 4 door deffinatly lacks pep compared to the 2 door, but its not TOO hateful, especially if your happy with the TJ.
