might have to sell the tj

just like it says I might have to sell the tj
the wife wants another kid meaning there isnt enough room to fit four of us and some gear in the tj
It's almost to small for the three of us

so I have to either get the 4door jk rubicon at $35,000 then install the lift and other things to make it more trail worthy (or at least as worthy as the tj is)

or get the quad cab dodge ram srt10 (viper motor dodge truck) at $25,000
and buy a cherokee around $2,000
install my lockers from my tj lift it and wheel that and drive the truck
what do you guys think

one of the dealerships out here has a 05 quad cab srt 10 for $30,000
it has 20,000 miles on it but high bluebook is $26,000
and the price range is anywhere between $22,000-$30,000

when I looked at them before I got my tj
the dealership wanted $60,00-$70,000 for them when they were new

I definitely wouldn't pay more than low blue on it. The truck market is in the tank right now and they will most likely deal cheaper just to move it.

SRT-10 ....BADA$$ truck and great fun on the streets

JK rubi ....Capable wheeler/family rig.

XJ .....Cheap and very build-able wheeler.

so...
srt-10....do you want to be confined to the pavement?

JK rubi... If for the family do you want the chance of rolling or laying a new family vehicle over?

XJ.... Turn, turn turn your wrench and empty your wallet.

The choice is yours to make. I'm sorry to hear you'll be letting the tj go. BUT,, early congrats on the new baby.

the first one is only 18 months old but the wife wants one more

and it would be the srt 10 and an XJ

or a 4door jk rubicon

When the XJ gets to trail only status you can pull it there with the SRT-10, and quickly.

SRT10 didn't impress me when I drove it.

If you aren't paying $10,000 off MSRP on a new 4WD right now, or at least 3k below low KBB on a used 4WD, you need to find another dealer.

You would be suprised how little shipping costs. I live in one of the most expensive places in the US, there is no reason you should be paying twice as much as us for a vehicle. I could see a Jeep being a little bit more than here since you have a major rock crawling crowd to cater to, but there are plenty of nice 4WDs if you wanted to stay with an SUV/Truck and not pay $35,000. $35,000 is outrageous for anything right now. In fact, I can get an H2 for around that (Not saying I would, but that is probably one of the most expensive 4x4s on the market).
