If you get any time go to the Air Force museum in Dayton Oh. I went there quite a few times back in the late 80's when it wasn't so organized and you had to duck under wings and props and could climb up on them to look inside. No roped off walkways, you bunk your head it's your fault I never got tired of the place. The one you went to makes me kind of sad seeing all that heavy metal out in the weather and exposed to the elements.
They just plunked down an F14 Tomcat a couple of towns over in a park, beautiful aircraft with new paint, again, out in the weather. It sure would be nice if they put at least a shed roof over it of some kind to keep the worst off.

ya i know what you mean, this place was huge, and a lot of it was even shot up. its amazing to think of what the people in them went through. they have a bunch indoors to some are in the pics, and they keep some of the tanks and trucks running. they said in july they're gonna have an open house, and run some cars over w/ tanks. i'll tryo to get video of that

it is better than them rotting away where people can't appreciate it in a desert somewhere though.

Where is that place? It looks like someplace me and my boys would enjoy someday soon! I'd love to get my hands on one of those M715s!

this is right on the wisconsin illinois border, towards the east.

we had more fun than i imagined. it was one of the coolest things we've done, and $20 for the 4 of us.

cool looking museum!

i went to the springfield armory in springfield, ma over the weekend. they made a lot of the weapons for the North during the Civil War. check out this awesome gun rack - all original rifles.

this wasn't at the museum but was in a local park in chicopee, ma i think. hmm...what would it be like to drive a tank?
