Missing my speed!

This may be somewhat long...I have had about 13 vehicles since 16 yrs now 24 yrs. This past year I had an 88 mustang (351c) and 95 neon (winter beater), i wanted a street bike for a long time so i sold the mustang and bought a 2000 gsxr! I fell in love!!

Engaged for 2 years and got married this past August and needed to sell the bike for the honeymoon (for the wife ) After that the neon crapped out on me, so junked it and bought a 03 grand prix gtp (supercharged) then thought i wanted a wrangler more so sold the gp and bought the TJ i have now.

Now i want a street bike and cheap car. Problem is the wife may not let me
seeing i have been through 4 in the past year! What do you guys/gals think??

Welcome to marriage bud! Just be glad you were able to get a Jeep...forget the other vehicles and focus on modifying the Jeep...it's so much easier to hide the purchase of small mods than try to cover up for the purchase of another vehicle...wives will notice a new vehicle in the driveway/garage every time, but they may never notice a small lift or new bigger tires and such.

I would be replacing the TJ with a bike and cheap vehicle...I love speed but i like the cool factor of a street bike alot! Having a wrangler i could wheel on the weekend (not much fun alone)...having a bike i could ride with my 3 buddies any time it is nice!

I have a sportbike along with my tj...

i'm not married, have no family, and no gf though...

just mod your jeep with the money you'd spend on the bike and beater car...wife will be happy, you'll be happy, and the jeep will be happy!

Just read your last post...stupid idea to get rid of the jeep for a bike and beater car...

I have came to a decision! Im just going to keep the TJ and save for a bike...I will have the best of both worlds and it wont cost me the loss of my wrangler!

Good choice, you can always meet new people to go wheelin' with. Check with a local 4x4 shop and talk with folks there.

replace wife, with one that is automobile friendly. my "wife" as I call her, loves cars, & motorcycles almost as much as I do, I will never have paper work, or make it official. never. my house is my house, all vehicles are in my name, if she didnt like she could move out, & collect nothing, & take nothing, simple.

I have had Harleys all my life, just worked a deal out trading a old Nova for another project Harley last week, & I have several project bikes, & have a ZX11 sport bike, which is my beater, around town bike, plus a few project sport bikes, I have 4 trucks on the road that my wife cant drive, & 2 that she can. just tonight I picked up a Jeep Cherokee, & will be putting it on road soon. & she cant drive it, as she can only drive automatics, & my vehicles are stick shift, & the 2 I bought for her are in my name as well.

hmm I once was into the Neon scene, have 3 out in side yard, just got tired of them, but 2 still are road worthy, probably have 50 or so of my former vehicles between side & back yard, several muscle cars, & a bunch of VWs.

a couple of beater vehicles, & a bike is the way to go, & work your way up from there.

Keep the jeep... speed is over rated... I have 2 sport cars and a stupid fast luxury car and still prefer my 4 banger jeep over them as per fun to drive wise.
