Modular bumper..is it worth it?? Suggestions please.

Got any good ideas for a nice front bumper??
I was looking into the Modular bumpers from Rugged Ridge.
I would have to buy it in pieces due to cost, obvioulsey the main part first, then i want the stinger add on, and D-rings.
After adding all that up it becomes almost $600 in overall total and that doesn't include shipping fees for each piece.

Anyone have any suggestions or do you think the Modular is worth the price.
I want a stinger and thats the only one so far that I seem to like. I like the fat, stubby bumper look.

budget is about $400, hopefully less.

i don't really think that the modular bumper is worth the price. if you go on ebay you can buy unfinished (non painted) bumpers for $200 or so and then prime and then prime and paint them yourself. i got the front bumper on my cj off of a guy (ryansfab.net) on ebay. he sells finished and unfinished bumpers for great prices, and they are quality bumpers.

I had one of these on my last TJ and loved it, the only issue is that if you want to add a winch later you have to take the whole thing off, the up side is that once you have your winch installed it would be hell to steal it.

I also like the smittybuilt front bumper. Not a bad looking bumper for the price.

another one I was looking at was Kilby Enterprises.
Trail Boss w/stinger.
Only problem is that the description says it cannot be used with stock "over frame" sway bar. So what do you have to do...remove your sway bar. Or now spend money on a aftermarket bar when you just spend 525 on the damn bumper.

that's a nice looking bumper but it looks like it sits a little too low.

heres a little better angle. It has a built in winch mount. All you need to add is the fair lead

Know anyone that can weld? If so Sniper Fab has a great lookin front bumper for TJ's at about 300. Also check out Genright. I know them personally and they are great wheelers, builders, and stewards for OHV.

Here's the Sniper. Sorry I was wrong it's only 225, but it has to be welded together.

Here's a pic of one of the Genrights. They run more, but the bumper and the stinger do come separately.

im so torn over this now...

Im positive on the style...Ive decide I want a stubby rock bumper. With a smaller style trail stinger. And Also like the idea of the grille hoop.
Like the mercenary bumper from ROKMEN. So much $$$ though.
As well as the kilby I posted up there...sweet looking bumper but so much $$
DAMN!

I also like that gen-right but the stinger is to big for my taste.

Heres the ROKMEN mercenary

That Rokmen bumper is a nice setup. They are a vendor here on the board. Give Dave a PM and see what kind of price he can give you.
