Talk to JonnyXcore. He can help you out with that.

So what kind of rock rings did you get? And where ever you got them from did they tell you that the Shrockworks stuff was available?

When you ordered the sliders did they say they had them in stock?

Awesome - you'll be happy with all that.

When you get the Shrockworks, drop me a line if you need any help getting them on.

Eric

I ordered online from Shrockworks. Last time I talked to them there wasn't much of a wait, but I'm not in a hurry. I've wanted these for about a year now so I decided to go with them. I was waffling over a couple different brands, but I kept going back to Shrock.

Are they tough to put on Eric??

(it's the tiles I do, Scout, not the mugs )

I have the Shrockworks sliders (they were a birthday gift from a friend, otherwise I'd have gone with the Rock-it Man's ) They're not too difficult to install at all. Make sure you have a floor jack to hold the slider in place while you're drilling/bolting it in place.

Did you get them in bare steel or have them powder coated?

I got bare steel. I figure I can paint them no problem. I have all the equipment and know how....though my paintsprayer's not had paint in it in a while.

I know, I looked at Rock-it's. You know when you get yourself set on something? Shrockworks were the ones I picked out a year ago and just never got. Rock-it's are cool as hell but I wanted bare so I could paint them and I didn't see that option.

Are you going with a floral pattern?

Actually, I was thinking of airbrushing some skulls along them in different shades of dark grey and black. Just for fun.

I'm fairly positive that Chris would have made you a non-powder coated set, but that's ok. I've beat on my Shrockworks ones for a year and a half and have been happy with what they've taken so far!
Also, I just rattle-canned mine. I did that thinking that "hey, when they get scratched, I can just touch them up!". Well, they've been scratched, but I have yet to touch them up! Guess I like the battle scars?

EDIT: By the way, I think the skulls, though cool, would clash with the sparkley paint of your Xenon body kit parts. Maybe the flames will help to offset that though.

Tiny he has a point. You are now going to have to repaint your entire renegade kit. I rattle can all my shite too. Brand new look costs about 4.89.

Jim Schrock puts out smokin product, I've just heard lately he is having a hard time keeping up with demand between the TJ and JK markets.

I know how to use spray paint, too. I just happen to have a couple guns in different sizes and the ability to do something off the wall. Wider spray, less likely to get drips... not that I care.

Hell, I'll call next week and see about the wait. If it's too long, I'll see if Rock-it Man will float me some in bare. I want to be able to touch them up here and there..... or make them any color I want

No - not too tough at all. But a second set of hands is nice.

A floor jack and good drill bits are what you really need. And someone to get you fresh beer so you don't have to get up.

Eric
