Thats actually a nice lookin Jeep cCain. I would love a YJ, but they are all rusted out around MD. Get rid of those chrome pieces, add some nice tires, and youll have yourself a really nice YJ.

I second the anti-chrome movement. Black powdercoat and aluminum are better.

I could see that on the garage wall with a clock in one headlight space, a thermometer in the other and fake bling meters in the parking light spaces.

OK gang... Update!

Tiny and I wrenched on the monster today. Thanks so much Tiny!!!

The driver's side front fender was trashed, so we replaced it.
I found a hell of a deal on craigslist.

I still need a hood and a tailgate. But I'm honestly thinking of putting a CJ tail gate on it.

SO... Here's the skinny on the Jeep so far:

It's a 1987 (the year I graduated from High School) YJ. It is a 5 speed... Get this, NO power steering, NO AC, No cruise, NO frills. Makes the Sarge look like a Cadillac! The real reason I bought it (other that sheer desperation from wanting another Jeep) was the fact that there is ZERO rust on it and the powertrain and running gear are clean as a whistle. OK... Here's the part where you guys are gonna give me hell... It's a 4cyl. But the damn thing runs great and has a fair amount of power. I think the timing may be off a little, but no big deal. Besides, down the road, I can always swap it out for a straight 6.
It has the old style roll bar with the angular rear bars.
I need to stroke it a little to get it where it needs to be, but all in all it's a fun Jeep and I love it. So before anyone makes any comments, just know that to me it's PRICELESS!!!
