Well, I got my Jeep back in September, and I've been loving it since then. But being a college student also means I'm poor, so I haven't really been able to do much with it, in terms of mods. So I scraped together what little money I could, and decided to get rid of the one thing I liked least about my Jeep at the time: the carpet. It just gets muddy and looks like crap anyways, so why keep it there? So I went in and ripped up all the rear carpet first, only to find scratched and scuffed paint underneath. Alas! I had a backup plan. I stocked up on bedliner for trucks, and started sanding away at the rear tub. Sanding was the suckiest part of this project. Took the longest, was the messiest, and I'm pretty sure I took about 14 years off my life with the all paint dust finding its way into my body. I mean, theres still paint dust in the Jeep that I can't get rid of today! Anyways, after I sanded it down I cleaned up what I could and started rolling on the bedliner. It came out awesome! The first coat was nice and dark and thick. I put about 5 or so coats on, and all in all the project took me about 2 days to complete. I highly recommend this project to anyways that doesn't like the carpet in their Jeep, and wants a nice, easy to wash surface throughout. It looks great too!
I still haven't done the front yet. I can't afford to right now, as my Jeep is my daily driver so I can't really start anything I can't finish in a days time or so. Also, to get under all the hooks and such in the bed, I bought a spray-on can of the bedliner. Helped a LOT.
And did you think I could go this whole post without a full body shot? :P
