Post my first yj what can you tell me about it???

So i just got this, my first 92 yj and just put my first 100 mile trip on it today, and it made it without a problem. only things i know i have to fix it the brand new exhaust needs a mount due to it ratteling on the bumper, and i have to move the seat back because my fat belly rubs and aint fun lol, but im trying to find out what this thing already done to it. so im loading up a bunch of pictures so if you can point out what you see is done to it so i can check it out thanks.

Also guess the seats are aftermarket and they have a (b) on them same as top does anyone know how to adjust the back tilt on these? there is no knob like the stock seats i see, and is that how low the shifter is suppose to be it seems like i have to reach far down to shift, thanks guys/girls!

The seats and top are bestop.. your fender flairs have been deleted (check your local and state law's about fender flairs.. i know PA will hang you out to dry without them).. looks like you have some body armor on it. they look like newer wheels but i could be wrong.
The front bumper is deff after market. Looks like you got some home done wiring under the hood but in the old fiero sence of saying dont fix it if its not broken so it if works eff it.. KC's are always nice.. just dont turn them on while on the road and check your local and state laws about having them capped.. some states require it (like mine) others dont... all in all very nice.. get some under carrage shots

That red knob under the dash is a 4x4 posi lock. You pull it out to engage the two piece front drive shaft. Jeeps came with a vacuum actuator, that is prone to failing, and that replaces it.

When you go wheeling, pull on that sucker (while stopped) to engage axles. You can drive it this way, wether or not your in 4x4. When your done wheeling, push it back in to disengage.

Ok I will get some under shots today, the wiring is for the kc lights, fuel pump shut off (home made anti theft) and some other little stuff, he did a "ok" job with the wiring so I'm not going to tear into that, yeah the truck was stolen last year and recovered from the guy I got it from, they ripped the flares off and took the 33in swampers off it. I found flares on ebay for 100 bucks I'm going to get hopefully next week.

wheels are 15x8 canyon wheels from a TJ. Front bumper is stock with a grill guard bolted where the tow hooks should be. I would ditch those lift shackles. been a long time since I have seen a tilt-meter.

- that shifter does look a lot lower than normal
- that is a huge rear bumper
- my wife's '95 has the same grill guard and just so you know, it can survive a deer hit at moderate speed

ok, so i got some under pictures but there not very good its cold and dark but do show some of the bottom, i did notice 2 rust spots you can see from the bottom( will get pictures of it later) but you cant see them inside so i will be grinding and rhino lining those areas. also is the shifters 2 pice or one? it is very short and annoying and i will have to make taller for wheeling and stykthyn whats wrong with the drop shackles? i do plan on putting bigger tires so will need the lift. and what hard doors will fit on this? i found a guy with a set of full doors from a late 70's cj for $100 he says they will fit but i never believe the seller lol. also found out the valve cover leaks which i figure is common becasue i had to replace the one on my uncles cheorkee last year. also what is the best way to clean the soft top windows with out scratching to hell? thanks guys for the help

Shackles that large will radically change your spring geometry and not in a good way. If you truly need the lift save for a suspension lift.

you should be able to get a replacement stock shifter lever from a junkyard or ebay

I don't think you need 3 steering stabilizers

looks like a slip yoke eliminator is already installed on the transfer case

x2. 1 good stabilizer is all you need. 3 will just over work the steering. And it's got a double carden driveshaft so it looks to me to have an SYE. Also looks like it has some aftermarket headlights and blue bulbs. And the rear bumper looks to be homemade (not saying it looks bad just doesn't look aftermarket to me)

Congrats on the first Jeep though
