My mother has hurt my pride..

My mom test drove a LR2 on they're "off-road" track(ppft). She was showering it with compliments and then....
She did the unthinkable. She dissed my jeep via the LR2. I'm stunned. I just don't know how to take this.

Talk her into getting it. When she is paying out the ass for repairs, You can remind her about what she said. Land Rovers are POS!

I offered to take her off-roading but she quickly declined. She apparently doesn't trust my off-road abilities.

Find some article where the LR2 rolled off-road or something and hurt the driver. Just don't mention jeeps rolling

Obvious case of dementia. Place her in a nursing home, drain her bank accounts and never ever talk of her again.

Offer to drive your Jeep on the their "off-road course"...in reverse...with the LR2 in the way...

Or...get her to buy the LR2 and use it for a wheel chock.

FWIW... just saw your sig. I feel exactly the same way, love it!

I think the suggestion isn't bad either.

Had a realtor come out to our house with his new Rover. He was all pumped up about it.. I asked if he'd like to follow my Jeep out through a very small trail on the back of our property. He declined. No surprise there.

Your mom needs to see the difference. Jeeps will go anywhere with the proper modification of course. Rovers, though luxurious and all that if taken off road are an expedition vehicle at best. You may want to explain that to her. It's apples and oranges, no comparison.

Sometimes Mom's just don't get it, Jeep is the ONLY real off road vehicle.
(son in Australia has a Landrover, but then he hasn't driven a Jeep so doesn't know what he's missing)

Err......yuk

It is apples vs. oranges! If I was going to get something along the lines of that, I would get a Subaru Forester. At least the Forester is dependable, and it probably has better AWD.

Tell her to buy it, then have her follow you off road where the trail isn't set up within that specific vehicles capabilities. We'll see who's laughing at the end

we had an ice storm here 2 years ago, there is a pretty long steep hill you have to go up to get to town--no one could make it up(black ice) i was driving my wifes 2wd patriot and i went further than all the 4wd trucks and passed a new land rover that was stuck,,,,,i did,nt make it to the top but i did go farther than everyone else..and i was the only one able to turn around and go back down the hill, i would have given it another try but the wifes patriot was still new and she would have killed me

the look on the land rover guy,s face when i passed him was priceless..
