Name that Jeep

Hey guys my wife and I spotted this jeep the other day and I have no idea which model it is. So I was hoping someone on here can tell us which one it is.

Dunno,

Looks to me like a YJ and they mounted the tire like on a CJ.

Drop tailgate not found on a YJ, solid grab bar not molded like a YJ, and no fender flares......Probably a CJ.

Cant tell you the year due to it was made for around 3 decades.

Military code would be " M38A1".
