need ideas - DIY storage off tire carrier

So, I have a Smittybuilt Classic rear bumber with swing-away tire carrier on my '98 TJ. This has a 2" square "post" vertical up the center behind the tire. I have a 33" Km2 spare-tire.

I'm looking for ideas of how to DIY/fab a support structure/brackets off the center post to support a off-shelf storage rack. The rack would need to clear the top of the spare tire.

I cant imagine I'm the 1st guy to think of this. I'm considering simple steel "L-angle" attached to the center post in some manner.

Any ideas? thanks!

98 Wrangler TJ Sport. Racho lift, Detroit rear auto-locker, 4:10 gears, 33" BFG KM2's, Smittybuilt bumbers, Warn winch, Bushwacker flares.

Did you fab the hinge or is that something that needs to be bought?

Many places online where you can buy the hinge. I suggest A to Z fabrication. Talk to Zack. Also, would use the upgraded spindle to handle the extra weight of the rack with the carrier.
