Need some help guys

Hey I have a 95 yj and I'm having a problem with water leaking in through my air intake. The one right in front of the windshield as with soft tops water pools up and I've noticed that water has been coming in but today I pushed up on my top to remove the water well a few gallons went right in and a second later water was all over my feet. Does Ny one know how to remove that layer so I can see where the leak is. Thanks in advance!

Hi from WNC! I'm near Asheville. Calallantee TN trip this SAT! COME on OUT. Toys for Rocks

I'm not sure but you might want to grab one of those intake sheilds. My buddy put one on for better heat and it helped tremendously for his YJ. Looks like it might help with your problem as well.

Are you wanting to remove the cowl and check the cowl seals? There should be a write up for it somewhere. I know there's one for TJ's cause those seals get mucked up and make water leak in under the dash....

Ouch! Yeah that's what I need. The water is getting something vital wet and making the ECM spa out and not power up properly.

Dang it Tom It's because I'm a girl, isn't it?

Good lookin out for him, now since a guy told him he can go ahead and use what little bit of info we've given him... Otherwise, he'd be screwed, kinda like knowing when the world's gonna blow up and not being able to tell anyone because you were sworn to secrecy........

No problem. I just felt I should present the information to him in a usable form.

My 94YJ does the same thing, the water ends up in the pass floor through the AC. I found that the vent tube in the engine bay gets clogged alot by dirt/mud and one time it was melted together. check that first the water should drain out through that before it goes into the cab.
