need zipper help

I have a 2000 wrangler with a soft top. Something fell off and was lost off the driver's side end of the rear window zipper. I think it was either a pin or something called a zipper box previously attached to the "roof-side" (not the "window-side.") Does anyone know what I need or how I can repair it without replacing the entire zipper? Bestop and Quadratec didn't have these kind of parts......

Re: need zipper help

that's what she said.

All joking aside, you could try an upholstery shop or zipper shop (they actually have those) to see if they could help. Personally, I know I started having issues with mine and within a few months everything was ripping and I took a hit and got a new top. If the rest of the top is in good condition then obviously you don't need a new one. But I should look for a local car upholstery shop and see what they can do.

Hopefully it's not the zipper box. The part you feed the opposite side into to start the zipper.
Unfortunatly that part is not replaceable. it's molded to the zipper tape.
You may be able to carefully start the zipper without it and sew the end shut permanantly but thats about it.
The only replaceable parts on a zipper are the slider(s) and the slider stops.
