Nerf Bar Questions

My hubby suggested them for this reason and I wanted to get some feedback on it. I have to park it in a busy retail lot every day and people are rude, many times I've left work to see someone right up on my door and I had a few door dings on my last car as a result. (I hate door dings) He wants to have me put them on to prevent that, figures they'll open the door and hit the nerf bar instead of my door.

Makes sense to me. My other question would be what brand/type would you recommend? I spent a small fortune on some for hubby's truck, looked awesome, thought I was buying good quality heavy duty ones and two years latter they are showing slight signs of rust, which pisses me off.

I do have the rock rail on it already. Was thinking a big fat tube type in black. If I were to do it, I want to do it right and not end up with rust bars.
I'd appreciate some recommendations on brand and styles.

I don't need them to get in. I am sure they'd be helpful to my occassional passengers. My main reason would be to protect my doors in the damn parking lots.

how about 6" lift and 35" tires, then they'll miss your door

my only input is if you are gonna go off road with the jeep, avoid the bars that attach at body mounts, they are easy to install, but i've seen people rip body mounts off on the trail.

they have nice ones that attach on rocker panel that are supposed to be strong, i wouldn't think attaching to the body is strong, but i've heard good things, i'm sure someone has got them here. maybe someone can chime in on those

tub mounted rockers are definitely strong.

of course you will have to drill several holes.
