New guy here, please school me

Hey guys, I have liked Jeep for years and years, but I always found myself in something else for whatever reason. Now i'm looking to get a new vehicle again and I had a few questions I bet you hear all the time.
1. How reliable is the jeep (mechanical wise) b/c my ranger has 206k on it with no problems to date....can i expect the same?
2. What gas mileage do you get, and what can i do to make it better?
3. If I get a Jeep, what are things I need to look for or check? Is there a lot of recalls or certain models I should look for? any year jeeps better then the other?
4. Are the 03' and up stronger? this is what I have been hearing but I don't seem to believe it.....

Thanks guy

1) Get the 4.0l 6 engine. It's good for that much or more if well maintained.
2) Horrible. And there's not much you can do about it. You will spend a lot of cash for a mile or two increase at best.
3) Rust. Beat up skid plates where the PO drove it like he stole it.
4) Stronger? Not sure what you mean by that.

If you mean a Rubicon which began being manufactured in 03, then yes, it is much stronger. Stronger axles, lower gears, and front and rear lockers. Lift and tires will make it a beast offroad.
