I just bought a 2010 Sahara so I am looking to upgrade my tires too.

Where in GA are you from? I live in Warner Robins.

Seems like I've read that you can go up to 35's on stock JK's, but someone who knows more than me about them will chime in soon, I'm sure...

Welcome to the forum, don't forget to wave, it's a Jeep thing!

if you wana run 35s on a stock jk, there is gona be some fender trimming. some one on here was running 33s on a stock one, and it seems like 32s are better for flexing over the 33s.

Don't go trying Beasley Knob alone --- and not until you have a few mods and experience. It is a very HILLY area; my friend's Unimog couldn't complete a few trails there.
The beige one:

Try Old Bucktown Rd and Amicalola Mountain Rd after playing on the forest service roads; they have some tricky spots that will make you think but you shouldn't roll over or get stuck (not too stuck anyhow).

This is my friend Stumpy on Old Bucktown recently:

and me:

Go take a look in the JK area to get some ideas on what works:
JK Jeep Wrangler Forum - Jeep Wrangler Forum

I have 33s and a 2.5" puck lift with shocks over Unlimited springs; it works for me. If you want 35s, you can do the same and also run flat fenders; you can also do a 3" or 3.5" lift. In any case, it's better to use aftermarket wheels with less backspacing, especially if you lift.

I agree with hilldweller, I purchased 35 inch tires and have them mounted on the factory wheels, they scrub when I turn the wheel all the way to the left and right, makes me angry!

Can't you guys fix tire scrub by adjusting the steering stops, like we can?

Yes; but that limits your turn radius (3-point turns are for Toyotas) and you'll still scrub the fenders --- and pretty dang hard with 35s...
Wheel spacers are an option but we both dislike those; I'm going to pretend they don't exist.

ok , as i was saying before this is my first 4wheel drive jeep and havent ever been climbing or mudding or anything in my life i was one of the tuner kids with the honda until i realized and researched "the wrangler". As i was saying this morning my wife backed down into a small ditch(one wheel) and was stuck(the liberty is 2wheel drive) so i got to use the wrangler, AWSOME i only have 2000 miles on it and was concerned about using the 4 wheel drive so early but needed too so i did and man was it great i love it i truly understand the saying "ITS A JEEP THING YOU WOULDNT UNDERSTAND" i am in love and its stock. As my list of up grades begin my mind goes crazy because there is so many different ways to go but couldnt think of anything better to be stressed out about..
