New member! How I carry my fishing rod!

Hey WF! I just recently got my 99 tj Sahara. Bought it off a friend has a few mods and rusty fenders lol but I thought I'd share how I go about carrying my fishing rod when heading up to the cottage. Not this method works with the frameless rampage soft top! Hope this helps some people

Basically there are little pockets that hold two support rods which I don't like using because hey make too much noise on the highway, so the tip of the rod is inserted on that end and the handle part I just use a velcro strap and secure it to the cross bar. I don't know if I've explained it right lol but here are some pics.

And this method can work for upto 4 rods.

Nice pix, Kuhl, and great tip. I will be picking up an 8 foot surf rod soon so will try a similar set up for transport.

Welcome!

Good idea, indeed. Now to figure a way to add that little pouch... lol.

I recently went to the beach & I wanted to take a pole but I didn't even know where to start, lmao. My trout pole fits just fine, though. All 5' of it.
