New tire poll...

Im looking at purchasing new tires in the near future. My Jeep is my daily driver and I average around 75-100 miles a day and occasionally off road on the weekends. I live in CT so I see all sorts of weather including snow as well. I currently have 32x11.5x15 BFG ATs. What would you suggest for a tire. If you select other please state what and why.

Thanks in advance

Justin

Edit: Ok I guess I wasnt fast enough in typing out my poll and it wouldnt allow me since the 2 minutes had passed.

My choices are

1> 33x12.5x15 BFG A/Ts
2> 33x10.5x15 BFG A/Ts
3> 33x12.5x15 Goodyear Duratracs
4> Other but please say what/why.

Concerns....will going with a 12.5 really make that much a dif in mpg and decrease my traction on snow? I have wider flares to put on once it gets warmer and I just think downsizing to a 10.5 would look real odd.

how did you like the bfg's you have now? those would be my choice. i'm not a fan of goodyear, and i've worked in shops that sell tires all my career.

They are my 1st and only experience with an off road tire and with a bit over 40k miles on the I have nothing but positives to say. If they came in a 33x11.5x15 I wouldnt even bother posting this.

Any feedback on the 12.5 vs the 10.5

i'd just go with either width bfg. most people have great expereince with the bfg a/t. its a great all around tire. the 10.50 will be better in snow, and will also offer slightly better mpg, probably not even noticable though. if you've had good luck with it, keep it up then. thats my theory.

1.
smaller might be a bit better in snow and mpg, but for me it wouldn't be worth it

I just put that size Duratracs on mine last weekend. The next day we had about 4-5" inches of snow and they did very well. I love them, but I don't put nearly that many miles on mine. GY and treadlightly.com have a nice rebate going right now... That did influence my choice somewhat, but mostly I was swayed by seeing them in person... They look amazing!

1 or 2. how wide are your wheels? will a 12.5'' wide tire be acceptable on them?

I used to be a suspension mechanic when I was in college. IMO the BFG AT is a fantastic tire. I'm not a goodyear fan. (even though they look neat)
