Newbie question

I am new to the forum( addicted) - not new to jeeps. I have had a 77 cj, 87 yj ,92 yj, 97tj, and now a 99 tj.

My tj occasionally will not register the gas gauge on start up. If I turn the jeep off and then back on it works.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
