Not a newb, but I have a newb question about axles...

Is the Ford 8.8 the same width as the Dana35?

and what gearing should I use to run 33s? I'm thinking 4.56s

8.8 is very close to width of dana 35. I think your with in a 1" over all. in general 33's and 4.56's are okay. I ran 35's and 4.56's with a 5spd.
