OEM Parts

Anybody have a good on-line source for factory parts rather than dealing with the dealership or generic parts offered by most auto parts stores.

Tried Jeeps Are Us and their "most orders shipped same day to 5 days and overnight shipping" is working out to be 7 days on one order and 15 days on another. Site is pretty lame from the order tracking standpoint.

I ordered my door surrounds from Jeeps R' Us. I had a mix up on their online check out and they were right on top of it. They responded to emails quickly and always returned my phone calls within minutes.

The problem I had wasn't on their end it was on mine. My browser locked up (lost my connection) and it charged my credit card twice. They quickly corrected the problem.

Crappy website but it does the trick.

I found somebody who had sold their Jeep and got a lot of their spare parts for REAL cheap, including a soft top, soft top frame, door surrounds, etc.

I have spare parts in case/when I break something.

www.jeepsareus.com is another source you may want to check.

Depending on what you are looking for, how new it neds to be, etc... another couple options for used OEM stuff might be:

Rubicon Recyclers; Flea-bay auction site out west, has lots of take off parts from wrecked or other totaled Wranglers. Mostly all TJ stuff, although certainly not all Rubicon gear.

Another "recycler" of used OEM parts is Rancho Cordova Specialty Recyclers. They are actually a network of auto dis-mantlers out west, so most of the stuff is rust free. They tend to have more models available, but are kinda hit or miss, especially if it's an odd part. They have a yard for just about any make/model you can think of, so anything you need, they might have!

My experiences with Jeeps Are Us are turning into Scout's experiences with Qtec.

First order arrives in 8 days missing two parts. Second order placed the same day (within 10 minutes) didn't ship until 9/20 (a week after I placed them).

When I called today they blamed UPS.
