Off roadin' your daily driver?

Do you take your Daily Driver Jeep off road?

I've only taken mine a couple times, and about to do it again next weekend. Always makes me a little nervous.

Yea, I have spent months not driving it because I broke things wheeling. I now have a sticker on the dash saying " Careful, you have to drive this home dumba$$" that normally keeps me from trying stuff I shouldn't.... Sometimes... Well it doesn't actually work at all, but I like to think it does.

yes sir i do. i just know not to over test my limits. i know what i can, think i can, and cant do. just make sure you dont over do it. scenic trails are the best when you have a dd. less chance of breaking stuff but still fun

Another DD'er with some light off-roading. Really don't do anything too strenuous; just some light trails and whatnot.

Our company President has a stock 4 door with really mild all-terrains. (I think he likes to be able to make phone calls while driving). He takes that thing all sorts of places. Area BFE in Moab, etc. It gets winched more than others, but he's out there.

Stock, daily driver Jeeps are amazingly competent.

Sure, you might not do the toughest obstacles on a trail, but you can go anywhere you want, and drive it to work on Monday.

If I had anywhere to wheel I would be on the trails every weekend in my bone-stock DD. You just gotta be smart about it.

Mine was my only vehicle for years. Just think before you act and take a bypass when necessary--mention it has to get you to work. If you do try something hard listen to your rig. If the steering doesn't want to go don't force it. Back out and try another angle. Have a spotter that knows your situation--special attention to your steering, oil pan etc. Mine is still my daily but I do have an oh shit my Jeep is broke vehicle now.
