I just wave.... Stock, Modified, I don't care. If someone doesn't wave back, then I figure they just don't know about the wave, I mean it's not like it's in the owner's manual.

See website: Jeep wave, simplfied

i agree w/ the guy who wrote that "jeep wave, simplified." i wave to all wranglers and cj's. i do not believe in the "jeep hierarchy" if you have a jeep you get a wave. i also wave to cherokees, grand cherokees, and commanders if they are lifted or if they seem like they would know about "the wave", otherwise if you wave they look at you like you are nuts.

Well I am a sociable guy so I wave to everyone, most here who have Jeeps wave. I like the camaraderie of owning a jeep, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy all over.
And to be honest, mine is my daily driver so I am going to keep it stock and just enjoy the fact to know I can go anywhere I want with it and I have my rag top for the summer trips to the beach. Eventually I will put a better set of shocks and do something with the exhaust and motor.

I always make it a point to wave. When I bought the jeep the salesman at the dealership made it a point to tell me about it. I hate it when I wave and people dont wave back!! I noticed that a lot of the people with the new jeeps dont wave back. Is this becomming a thing of the past? Am I supposed to be waving at the JK's? I'll wave at someone even with a modified cherokee. idk.

I second that thrashin' treatment. If my jeep was looking for that nice family soccer dad situation, well, it just didn't materialize. Maybe that's why my first one went back to Chrysler??? The Rubicon has a lot more backbone.

Waves all around. No bigotry through my windshield. All wranglers get equal treatment.

Hey jg,

Like the signature. I can just imagine the comments from your passengers when they get home....Hay ma that jeep chick really means it when she said buckle down and shut up. They had to pull me off the ceiling twice even with my seatbelt on!

I like to let my imagination run a little wild.

Everyone around here waves almost 100% of the time, and it's a Wrangler thing old or new, stock or not. I get a variety of wave styles, but most drivers lift their fingers off the wheel. I'm in the habit of giving a proper wave in the air from my Harley riding days.

i usually try to wave at every Jeep. For me it's raising my hand off the steering wheel or hangin my arm out the door when the top's off.

Well, I got my first wave today (in St. Thomas, in the Keys everyone waved) sorta...

I got a huge smile and thumbs up and a nod from a guy on the side of the road. It ain't much but I'm taking it!

I've also decided that I'm going to wave at every Jeep I see until I get one back, we'll see how long it takes, I started today being uber-vigilant about it.

Rachel

P.S. We have about as many Jeeps as everything else on the island combined including giant fleets of rental Jeeps for the tourists so it takes a lot of arm flapping to wave at every single one, but I'm up for the challenge.

I believe that the new jeeps are like what the H3's were to most of the new buyers. They did not buy the jeep because of its capabilities, they bought it for the status quo. I myself have not recieved one wave back from any of the newer jeeps. But i get at least a 80-90% wave back from older jeeps. This dosen't stop me from waving though. I had one guy today look at me like i was crazy. He pulled up next to me at a light, i looked over and gave a peace sign and nod. He just stared at me talking on his cell phone. LOL
