rgarrison, I noticed that you also have a Challenger.....I have a PCP '10 R/T Classic And I'm also from the metro Detroit area....whereabouts are you located at? You need to bring your Challenger to Culver's in Auburn Hills off of M-24 one Tuesday night for their car show And btw, I'll wave to ya if I see ya in the Jeep or the Challenger

I wave at everyone I meet on the highway. It make no difference to me if they are driving a Jeep or not. It makes no difference if I am in my TJ, my F250 King ranch, or my wife's car.

But, I have noticed that most Jeep folks do wave when I am in my TJ. Where I live, most people wave anyway. It is amazing that people pay attention enough to see when a person even raises an index finger off the steering wheel.

Ok, so growing up in the rural south, I'm used to waving at everyone that I pass. When we bought our acreage, we "taught" all our neighbors to wave by relentlessly waving at everyone. Waving in town is new, but I understand the concept.

What I don't understand is what do I do for a side-creeper? At least twice now, I've had another Jeep seemingly go out of their way to catch up to the side of me. Do I turn to look and wave? Or, are they just being nosy and checking me out?

Of course they're checking you out. You should wave!

I pass about 7-8 Jeeps each way to work, 12 miles, through city. Going with my calculations, 7x2x30= 420, 420/5=0.0119. I receive a wave about 1.2% of the time. I live in St. Petersburg, FL. I find this very sad. Anyone else with such poor responses?
I've been back in a TJ for a little over a month. Pass about 8-12 Jeeps to and from work 54 miles roundtrip. I've had 1 wave I receive tons of waves off road, even when we arent in the jeep...just not on pavement.

There should be an oath to take to wave at other jeeps when you buy one or else they take it away

I was stopped at a red light and there was a passenger train stopped off to my right. He sounded his whistle so I turned to look at him. He had his little window open and was waving at me!!!

I wave to every wrangler I see going to and from work and so far I've only got like 3 wave backs out of 25 or so. This one guy i meet in about the same spot every day drives an orange wrangler with the fast back soft top on it, we wave every day (although I'm not sure if i am over using it with him lol). I just keep on waving....

We saw a couple nice Jeeps in Glacier this week. We were Jeepless so I'd point them out to my six year old. Each time he said "What do you say? Hi Jeep!" Then he'd wave regardless. I Am So Proud!

My husband (former CJ owner in the 90's) waves across the highway at people. I dont go that far but i do wave in close passing. And the times i have missed someone in passing i will roll my window down to do a belated wave just in case they thought i was one of the oblivious. Most women don't (maybe it is the cattiness of another Jeep owner or maybe they don't know). It is hard to believe that with the number of jeeps on the road people would pick up on the trend.

I've waved at every Jeep I've seen. I don't have any points yet, so I initiate the wave. I have yet to get a wave back or any kind of recognition at all. Starting to think that nobody in SC knows about the wave.

I used to laugh at the hubby-to-be...telling him he joined a cult. Now that I have my own, I am happily a part of that cult! I pass at least 5 every morning on my way to work! I typically don't wave at Unlimiteds, not sure why since HTB has one

As a previous CJ owner and now JKU owner, I am saddened by this. It's still a Wrangler... Give a wave!

I wave at Jeeps when I drive my work truck and I get many funny looks. Habit as well!

I typically only wave at Wranglers and mostly get a wave back, rarely do I get a return from other models nor do they ever rarely wave.

I don't bother waving at other models, I thought the jeep wave was really a wrangler wave in reality

I haven't been a Wrangler owner long and it didn't take very long for me to realize it's a Jeep thing!

I think nearly every TJ and most YJ's wave, but not many JK's. Lot's of Jeeps around my area and they all seem to be very friendly so far. Makes me feel good like I'm part of some secret club.

I've tried since posting my previous comment...for some reason, around here, they don't wave :/ either that, or I've passed them prior to waving and they're pissed cause I've never waved before lol....
