Did a "Charity Run Wheeling Day" today.....It was for a Volunteer Firefighter who lost his life about 4 years ago. The money raised goes to help his family and all the first responders still working in that county.

I bring this up because over the 75 mile 2 hour cruise/ ride so many of the little towns we went through and the farms out in the country..people were standing in the yard waving....that kinda gets ya when ya stop and think how lucky we are....so yeah we wave they waved we all happy...there were almost as many Jeeps as Bikes this year....but fewer "Hot Rods"...and the Jeeps and bikes we passed going the other way all waved...great day

After the ride/ cruise we went and played in the woods and burned meat on the grill...great day with the Jeep!!!

I live upstate and found that most people that don't wave are yuppies from the city in unlimited wranglers.

I have driven over 3k miles in the last few days. I wave to 90%.(Sorry At the 10% i missed i might of been distracted looking at the sights along the road.) anyways I would say about a third wave back. To the family in Alabama, ur sons enthusiastic waving made my day. Oh yeah Alabama waves more than the other states I drove through. I'll update more on this after I get home driving through more states up north.

I drive over 1 1/2 hr a day to and from work encountering many wranglers , I am not moded yet , however I wave 90 % of the time expecting nothing in return , just a friendly gesture to a fellow jeeper . when expectations run high disappointment is soon to follow , fostering the" I wave if they do", categorical wave, gender wave attitudes . Embrace the culture! When I had my 2010 SS camaro waving was out of the question at 85-90 mph most of time (with radar detector) . Im enjoying the slow down and wave life style now. most dont return the wave but oh well .

Update now that I'm home. On the total of 5k miles I drove I got 6 waves. The northern states really don't wave. Must be a bunch of unjeepucated peoe in the north. But I know I waved so I did my part

Driving down the road today, I pass a U-haul truck pulling a trailer with a black JKU on it.

I look in the cab of the U-haul and he's waving at me so of course I wave back.

I was totally surprised that in two days of driving in rural No Cali I saw more waves than the last 4 months driving between Reno and Carson City, NV...totally cool though for Cali!

Try Tahoe. Nobody waves in Tahoe. I find some waves when headed west to Placerville, CA.

I wave 90 percent of the time, and sometimes get waves back, I get so angry when I see girls who look at me like I'm tweaked out on meth or something every time I wave! Gotta love them massholes! 😸

Why do I see more Jeeps to wave at when I'm driving my wife's car than when I am driving my Jeep? Some strange inverse law of the universe?

My first day with my JKU, and not a single person waved. Made an effort to do so to make it a habit but not a single response. Here in Central Fl.

Back when I first got my TJ, there were plenty of CJ guys saying that they'll only wave to CJs because the square headlight guys don't drive "real" Jeeps and the TJ guys are, well, exactly like everyone is describing JK guys now. I guess I've been around long enough to see it come full circle.
