Last Friday evening my day was complete, I was pulling out of a side road and a pretty blonde was next to me in a wrangler like mine, and she gave me the prettiest smile as she waved to me.

I find a lot of the lifted jeeps do not wave back, why because mine is not or at least not yet?

OK... I am one of those 4d JK owners and I do wave, but it is rarely returend.... took the doors off today and it seened that almost all returend or iniated the wave.... is it thjat doors off = more than trips to the mall or soccer practice?

So, I'm on travel in CO Springs. Good ole Budget gave me a Commander to tool around in for the week.

Guy in a lifted YJ pulls up next to me at a light and without remembering I'm not driving my TJ, I wave at him. He looks at me like "that poser just waved at me" for a second and then...

He waved back.

BTW, I can't believe people take these things off roading. It's beautiful. Drives nice. Leather all around etc. But I can't imagine beating that thing on the trail.

As a 4-door JKer, I get many more waves from CJ & TJs than any JK owners. Of course, I use to be a CJ owner back in the early 90s. (had a CJ7 for 4 years) -- so the JW is not new to me......I run with no tops (sometimes no doors) and have some mods, so I guess that helps...

But I must admit the JK owners, especially the 4-door owners are mostly clueless.

I'm in connecticut and find that when in the country areas most wave. In the cities maybe 60% wave. I have 2 sons that own jeeps and told me about the wave when I bought the jk. Dealer never said a word. I think thats were it stems from. I wave to all wranglers even when I'm in my F350 diesel (that can be sad at times with the strange looks)

I spent several days in 2002 in Branson for Camp Jeep with my old one, lots of Jeepers there so everyone waved.

Got back to Dallas, Nope... Too many people that just don't get JEEP...

I still wave most of the time, and many once I get out of the city actually wave back, but its a great 'club' to feel a part of!!

Around my town we get alot of waves, and people who actually enjoy jeeping.....

Maybe people in Vegas are just unfriendly, but I never get waves in my Jeep or on my motorcycle.

My top's been off since February

Former NY'er here though, so I know what it's like to feel like that.

I would be scraping ice off my eyeglasses if my top were off here in February.

I was coming back from my sisters house and i was heading down Gender a well known road here...I pulled up next to this JK with a lil old lady in it...Now the scene i'm topless playing Pantera -Cowboys from Hell and she waved and started rocking out. I waved back and started laughing so hard i thought i was gonna pee my pants...that lady is instantly my fav wave ever!!

Hey Fellow Canadian... I live just east of Windsor... I only get wave's from 2 doors here, dunno what it is - I just got my jeep, so time will tell, but down here its pretty much 2 door anyway, there are not alot of the 4 door ones around at least not from what I've seen.

Crossed paths with 4 Wranglers yesterday, all waved first! 3 were of the female persuasion ...

I would say about 80% wave in North Dallas... My wife thought I was crazy waving at all the wranglers. Then she noticed everyone else...

I'm finding more and more that I get waves from everyone but TJ's. What's up with that?
