It's gotta be regional on the road. Off road Jeep owners always stop to help others.

I think it's where you are located. When we were in Northern California and Oregon on vacation every jeep owner waved at us but here in San Diego , when we wave at a jeep they either ignore us or give us a funny look.

Getting back on topic, this was a common occurrence back in the day. When I had my 80 CJ7 it was pretty common to pull over to help other Jeeps that were having mechanical issues on the side of the road. It was pretty much a necessity to have a tool box with you back then. Flashing forward to today, it is pretty rare to see a JK broken down. Times have also changed drastically and just about everyone has a cell phone. Being "stranded" is pretty much a thing of the past.

It was alot more common to help peple a few years ago because folks actually got stranded. Nowadays everyone has a cell phone. Living in the city, you never know if it's a setup for a carjacking.

If someone looks vulnerable I'll stop of course, but not always anymore.

Hell... if I was driving down in Hollywood, I would be terrified to take my hands off the wheel, let alone look for other Jeeps....
Especially during season.

I'm a proud owner of a new JKUR - X in AMP'd and for just over a week now I'm getting waves (and waving back) 9 out of 10 times... maybe it's because I'm in Texas.

I used to have a 1986 Comanche and driving home one day I passed two ladies dressed for church with a flat tire. I pulled over and changed it for them in the hot Texas sun. Later that day, I get a call from my Mom up in Minnesooooota and she was telling me that she had a flat tire a couple of hours earlier and within 5 minutes, someone stopped and changed her tire for her.

Blessing/paying it forward always works!

Here in Tucson I get waved at/to all the time. Only a couple that don't wave and on my usual route to work, I know which ones they are. Typically get the wave from around 7 folks on my way in on a 12 min drive.

Spring Hill, TN here. I get a wave by at least 95% of Wranglers. Generally the one's that don't are box stockers with soccer moms driving them... but that fine.

I experienced my first jeep wave in PA the first weekend after I took ownership of my baby. In NY there far and between. Most people don't even look at me to see me waving. I don't care it's the thought that counts.

Here in central DE...I'd say 9 out of 10 waves. Of course my wife waves at the whole thing. She'll never 'get it'.

I live in a wealthy area here in MD and it seems the snobs here don't wave as much as the people in the sticks. Welcome to the Wrangler Frat!

I'm a girl, I don't often get waved at (maybe because I drive a JK and the general consensus is that girls in JK's don't wave) but I'll wave back if I do. I also know how to change a tire and have stopped on occasion to help with that.

First jerp waves, so exciting

For first 2 weeks kept forgetting about the wave. And when i did remember i would get snubbed.

Made it a point to wave today and got like 20 waves back. Feels great.

Whenever I wave and get snubbed, my 15 year old son laughs at me.

It's OK, I'll get the last laugh. He doesn't realize I'm spending his college fund on my Jeep.

My wife rails me so hard for doing it. I make sure I over emphasize it when she is in the Jeep.
