SO NOT TRUE!!!! I feel like I have a huge cross to bear now.

What's worse is when I'm driving and give people a big wave and THEY glare at ME? WTF???

man this is really becoming a project.
now i have to worry about wrecking someone's entire day if i don't see them in time or i'm in a pissy-non-waving-get-over-it kind of mood.
f me.
ok, first one i see on the way home today i think i'm going to get all excited, bounce around in my seat and fling my arms up in the air all frantic-spazzy like in hopes that they see i'm not a a-hole new jeep owner who didn't read the handbook (that doesn't exist)
see now, as a chickie, i also have to be much aware of who i'm being "nice" to around here. i get paranoid about that stuff. i'm alone and driving the same route to and from work everyday. with all the flippin weirdos in this town i don't trust anyone. nope sorry jeepers, not even nice, sweet faced young gentlemanly looking type who happen to be driving the same vehicle as me

I do actually know what you mean by being a bit more careful who you wave to. Keep it casual with just a 2 finger off the steering wheel and it won't be so bad.

I was just in Maine and it was a 50/50 thing. I did have fun with one young guy that had an awesome HUGE Jeep. Sweet lift and mudders... He looked shocked when I waved and then waved back at the last minute. I think it helped too that we both had firefighter plates but his expression was priceless!

yesterday I went to West Lafayette (Purdue U.) to hang out with friends.. While still in WL, I saw 4 Jeeps, all of which a wave was given by both parties. So one of my friends riding with me said "Why do you wave?!" I said "It's a Jeep thing. Seriously. Try waving at any other car on the road and then at Jeeps." She said "You're ridiculous. Game on."
50 minute trip.. she waved and waved.. and waved. My top was off so she eventually flew her hands in the air and looked like she was dancing in the 70's. No wave back. From anything. Until I passed another Jeep (TJ) We exchanged waves.. She was upset.
hahaha
"The Wave" Is still alive.. In Indiana at least!
I have only had a handful of Jeeps not wave back out of a countless amount.
Happy Jeeping

alrighty then, i finally took another pic of my 3rd baby first 2 being dogs...
i had to be careful not to take a picture of the sweet corn, cantaloupe & peaches in the back seat that were getting it all dirty back there.
in a few months i hope to have some step bars (?) on there also (happy birthday to me!)
not going to be hard to figure out what to get me for presents now, jeep stuff, jeep stuff and more jeep stuff!

It keeps me awake sometimes thinking about ma Jeep and what I want to do. Lol. I like the look of the rock crawler steps my self. I'm not liking the plastic ones at all. Other than that my Rubi is awesome.

I actually dream about it... like seriously have dreams about buying things for the jeep... I love those dreams I agree with you on the rock crawler ones. I wish some of them weren't SO expensive but you pay for quality.

i daily drive an 09 miata and we have the wave too. i'm waving in my wrangler to all the local owners wranglers and also waving to them in my miata, the goal is for them to recognize a fellow jeeper even though i'm in my miata.

my wife gets waived at all the time, initiated by all you horny guys out there. she insisted we get this wrangler, she really is a jeep girls at heart.

You wife just knew all the attention she would get!!

I got the wave of all waves today... passed a 4 door Wrangler, windows out, doors off, I had my top down. Got the standard Jeep wave from Dad in the front seat, and a put your thumbs in your ears, wiggle your fingers, stick your tounge out wave from the approximately 7 year old boy in the back seat. If I hadn't been laughing so hard and trying to shift I would have returned the wave to the little guy!

Really? well than I must be the exception then as I had an XJ years ago, but absolutely love the JK as it is the best of both worlds, and yes I wave.

Through an informal study I've discovered that I get the best response percentage from fellow Jeepers when I flash the shocker instead of an open handed wave.

It seems to me there is a big difference in the amount of people who wave from the last time I had my TJ 03-06 till now when I am in my JK.
