Through an informal study I've discovered that I get the best response percentage from fellow Jeepers when I flash the shocker instead of an open handed wave.

It seems to me there is a big difference in the amount of people who wave from the last time I had my TJ 03-06 till now when I am in my JK.

I wave as often as I can. I handed out 11 waves yesterday and only two returned the wave.

It is sad!

I figure most people are too busy to notice, but I render a wave anyway.

Lifted Jeep Cherokee waved at me the other day, I waved back unexpectedly just in time wasn't expecting a wave from a non-wrangler, but hey a jeep is a jeep I guess...

I got a wave today from all the JK's and all but one TJ tonight on my back country cruse. Surprised me the only one not to wave was a younger girl. I haven't been getting too many waves back here lately

That is so sad to me. I have a new JK but am not a new jeeper. I am slowly making the mods I want but unless I win the lotto it will take time! I wave to all but do get the look of disdain often. I do notice move waves as I add more mods.

What really gets me is the old ladies driving the JK's who look at you scornfully when you wave to them. Funny thing is, I've never seen an old lady driving a TJ, YJ, or CJ.

I know the JK is every bit as Jeep as anything before it, but what is it that suddenly makes it appeal to the masses, who use it as a grocery-getter, and have no regard for what it is they are actually driving?

I guess this is like sports-car enthusiasts who drive 911's for the pure pedigree of the sports car seeing a line of Porsche Cayenne's at the mini-mall.

despite the luxuries, it still retains a lot of jeep traits.

Just a question, how old is a old lady???? and why they are not driving anything BUT JK's is because the old jeeps are too old for them and some of the old ladies can just afford something better by the way would you send a old lady by foot to the grocery store and carry her bags back?

LOL power to the "old ladies" that rock the Jeeps. Do you know how many scornful looks I get from the "old men" driving Jeeps that I wave to? Oh well...

I meant old in a relative way...the same old ladies who would normally be driving a 20 year old two-tone Buick, wearing a robin's egg blue polyester skirt with matching blazer, and a brooch.

I don't see many old guys in the JK's though.

I think it's because there's no shelf in the rear window to display their baseball caps...

I got my husband waving - even when he is in the passenger seat.... which is about 99.9% of the time.

As a Hoosier---I beg to differ-----I just came home from San Antonio---and didn't have my Jeep was in a rental.

The weather was great----it rained like crazy in the am but was done in an hour--by noon couldn't tell it. 100* feels like 80* in Indiana--would love to have that weather year round.

The jeepers that I was able to wave at (you guys got some crazy roads down there 8 lanes of traffic) were mostly at /close to/ or on base--but they would wave back---and I was in a CAMRY!!!

The jeepers are there---you may have to go look them up---check the military people they are all away from their family--and would probably welcome Jeep friends.

there's the problem.....not close to the bases.....stupid north side of town...

Don't get me wrong, I've had a few waves....most just look at my Jeep and judge it to be a feux Jeep.....even though they are wannabes themselves. I do have a few Jeep friends...2 at my school that always wave.
