THE WAVE!! It has become an average thing, I see a JEEP WRANGLER I wave. The g/f laughs at me all the time, and my response is
"It's a Jeep thing" I love it.
THE REAL WAVE: Both topless, door less, dirty, lifted, anything that says FREEDOM!!!!
HAPPY JEEPIN EVERYONE
BEST WAY TO PASS IT ON TO THE NON-WAVERS IS TO DO THE WAVE.........

i passed by FOUR TJ's on my way home today, all looked stock and no wave.

Im not going to wave at a stock jeep unless they wave at me first. Any others I will gladly wave to.

I wave at any Jeep I see. Get some really "weird" looks back sometimes. But more often than not I will get some kind of acknowledgement and being originally from down south in Arkansas, waiving is natural to me. Kind a like being on my Harley.

I'm always surprised by the kind and quantity of waves I get. Seems many of the big built Jeeps should wave and don't while a lot of the barbie jeeps do!

I miss having the opportunity to wave. My Jeep is currently in pieces in the garage. Everytime, I pass by one in my Honda, I have an instintive urge to wave but then I remember I am not in my Jeep.

I am sure this has been mentioned by others, but when a girl drives a Jeep (Wife or sister) they get all kinds of waves from other Jeepers!

Is true! I see a girl in a Jeep and that girl automatically becomes 10X hotter than her non-Jeep counterpart. I find myself grinning like a jackass and waving frantically when I see a girl in a Jeep.

If my window is down/off or if my door is off I stick my arm out and wave. If not I'll lift my fingers off the top of the wheel leaving my palm to control the Jeep.

The Jeeper wave

Definitely a problem here in NW Indiana, but it consists of the 4 fingers that wrap the steerinig wheel as you pass. I bought my Jeep about 2 years ago and this place is crawling with them! Definitely wave at the Chicks though, yep, uh huh!

I got a few waves today on my way home from school. I have noticed that I get more waves now that I am lifted though and more looks from other drivers.

Ever wonder why its called "Jeep Wave?" Do Wrangler drivers wave to Cherokee drivers? or any other Jeep model drivers? There's a connection of sorts between Wrangler drivers. SO, shouldn't it be called the "Wrangler Wave?" just a thought.

Only lazy and or stuck up wrangler owners ignore all the other Jeeps.. It is the JEEP Wave. Just some choose to be haters.. I defend wrangler owners on cherokee (XJ) and grand cherokee (ZJ, WJ) forums. As well as cherokee (XJ) and grand cherokee (ZJ, WJ) owners on this forum..

every week on multiple ocassions I read about how some stupid wrangler owner verbaly slaped a GC or Cherokee owner in the face for them loving there Jeep.. And in turn I take my time typing up crap like this on those forums in defence of wrangler owners since the majority don't deserve the abuse they take on GC and Cherokee forums.

CELT, Just like the JKU the other 4 door jeeps out there hit a different market then the two door wranglers.. We typically reffer to this as the soccer/hockey mom market.. Those are the ones that typically wont wave back to you. Safe bet Celt is to wave to the wranglers but if you see another jeep that looks to built for offroad use or looks to have been offroaded give the owner the respect he deserves wave to him/her as they do understand the jeep thing..

Not lazy. Not stuck up. I just believe a Jeep is a Willys/CJ/Wrangler. All those others to me are just not Jeeps. Only Jeeps get the Jeep wave from this feller UNLESS they wave. Then I always wave just to be nice.

I know it's not just me too.

I do like the tuff looking cherokees. They will always get my wave.

Went down to the beach today and my little sister was sitting in the back. A jeep was in the distance I turned around and said Stella this jeep coming up I need you to do the biggest goofiest wave you can do. Yall this tj drove by and Stella waved both arms like some bee was attacking her. The drive without skipping a beat did the same thing back to her. It was great

So, uh, when you pass someone going the same direction as you (i.e. another lane in the same direction) do you try to wave? Lately I've run up on or been passed by a few Wranglers (JK/U if it really matters) and wasn't quite sure if I should wave or not since it seems like it would be nearly impossible that the other driver would even notice in that situation.
