A majority of stock JKU are "soccer moms" that drive them where i live and I dont even bother to wave, and there's even a fair amount of older models that wont wave back at me! I'm starting to lose hope...

I drive a stock JKUR. At first hardly anybody would wave back but I live in a very small city. I see the same 40 wranglers everyweek and they see me. I drive with the doors off every day that its not raining. Well now a month later, I get about 39 out of 40 waves!!!!!
Guess they learned

There is a really screwed up Jeep Wave thread over on the JK forum but it had a link to this one so here I am.

I get 10 times more wave returns when I am driving my CJ-7 (NOT a Wrangler for nubes) than when I am driving one of my JKU's.

BTW, I do not wave at women driving Jeeps. Their jealous husbands may be hiding in the back with a shotgun.

I usually just flash a peace sign from the steering wheel... I'm a girl, and I find that most other girls don't return a wave, and we are going to have to school the new buyers.... they NEVER wave...

Here in central Jersey I see a lot of Wranglers of all types, and the vast majority wave. I'd have to say over 90% wave. Both male and female drivers. Now that the weather has been warmer, its been a lot of arm out the window waves. In the 5 miles from work to home yesterday, I passed no less than 6 Wranglers. We all waved. I think it's great!

There seems to be a few of us around here driving 2 doors that wave, unless the 4 doors are all modded up.......

Most of the time, women don't wave. Probably because they are texting with the non steering hand.....

Well today I was in my moms mini van....(a chrysler though). Anyway driving the van because I was running around trying to get parts and tools to do this pain of a SYE install. So driving the van today and of course its a beautiful day and saw jeeps everywhere they came out of their hiding. Since I was in a no wave car I observed fellow jeep drivers. I noticed some really d-bag looking drivers you know cool kids with their flat bills and stock jeeps (who probably don't wave). Also the cuties in their jeeps wishing I could wave to them! Anyway highlight of the jeep observation was the cool old dude in town with not 1 but 2 military willies one army the other navy, he was rocking the navy willie today, so cool.

It's kind of hit or miss here. Modded Jeeps are more likely to wave (I have had bikers and truckers wave!), than stock Jeepers. Fewer of the newer Jeepers (JKs and JKUs) wave back, but some do.

I definitely waved at an empty jeep sitting on a lot today thinking it was getting ready to pull out into traffic... whats better, someone caught me waving to the empty jeep in the lane next to me and gave me a weird look.

It seemed like when the weather first warmed up, everyone was waving, now that some time has passed, there's no more waving. I've been waving like a mad man, but get no love in return....

Today me and my friend threw arm out fist pump waves at this JKU as he pulled into our neighborhood and he just stared at me with this evil eyed glare. How did the dude not get the picture?

Ugh. -___-

The wave is pretty universal for all Jeep drivers not just for us JK drivers. More than likely if another Jeep driver doesn't wave he either didn't see you or is an ass-hat that thinks his Jeep is somehow better than yours in which case he/she just doesn't get it and should probably sell his Jeep and get a Prius.
