how do you guys go all day and only see like 5 other jeeps to wave at? I have a 10 mile drive to work and I usually see around 15-20 just driving there and back. on the weekend I'm sure its in the hundreds between saturday and sunday. Do i live in jeepland or whats the deal?

Salute

By the way, I wave. And I am humbled by it. As for all of the guys/gals with a CJ & TJ (who are non-wavers because I drive a JK) I have this to say: I would be driving one now if I could have found one with very low miles (read: almost new), in decent shape, that I could have fun in as well as depend on to get me to work EVERY day without worry, and would not cost almost as much as the brand new one that I bought . I am a proud Jeep owner, I cannot tell you just how long I have wanted one (ok, i will. 20 years) and now I finally have one. Better yet, I found out that owning a Jeep puts me in a special class of people who are mostly like-minded and very enthusiastic about being Jeep owners. So yes, I do wave and I also wave back. I don't discriminate between body styles. In the words of some famous writers: "For those about to rock, we salute you"

As the OP of this thread, of course I know where the "Jeep Wave" posts should go. Now if you would read the headline of this thread; maybe you would understand. " a reminder for all" meaning it went in the headline page for JKU owners. Most JKU owners are new to the Jeep club. And I wanted to pass along this vital information. In hopes that if they were just scrolling through they would read it. And maybe learn one of the most unique things of being a Jeep owner. Your two posts above shows a lot of negativity and that is one thing that should not be on this forum. We are all here to help and inform one another.

I have a feeling most people that visit a Jeep enthusiast forum are probably the type of person that already knows about the Jeep wave. So you're most likely telling a bunch of people that already know. You're just going to have to live with the fact that not everyone that owns or drives a Jeep is really a "Jeep person".

That's not XJ's point. There are not supposed to be any new jeep wave threads even if it's just a "reminder". Any discussion of jeep waves go to the official thread and no where else

Na, this is officially about reminding people to do something that we all should or should not already know to do because we purchased a Jeep and its in the manual that no one reads and this is a very long run on sentence that may begin to make sense to you if you waved at 4 or 5 JK's this morning on your way to work while not texting in your car, thats right I called it a car because I wanted to reinforce the fact that most of this has nothing to do with anything in particular.

The people on this forum don't need a reminder. We get it. So, if you just need to rant about how people don't wave at you, you're welcome to use the official wave thread.

In too.
Perhaps the mods are drunk , haha.

PS JKU and I wave all the time. Some wave back, some don't.
That's life.
But every once in a while, not only do I get a wave back -- but a huge smile too.
And that is why I wave.

Hey, life's short, so it's nice to make someone smile when you can.

My two main modes of transportaion are MY 2010 JKU and a 100th Anniversary Harley Fat Boy--the two maunfacturers that have the policy of waving at others...I'm getting carpal tunnel on a daily basis. Its the cost of doing business, I guess.

Get in the game or drive a Volvo, right?

I have to say that the original VW Beetle had owners waving.

How about the days where people waved just because it was the neighborly thing to do and they didn't need the vehicle they drove to determine who they waved at.
