Not really the thread to post this in... But it is a tire pressure light.

Winnemucca Wave

Here in Winnemucca, NV. there are a lot of Jeeps, especially during the winter. About half of them seem to be Wranglers. I bought my Wrangler last year and did the wave thing at first, but got few responses except from a guy driving another red yj with black hard top just like mine. With so many Jeeps here, I guess everyone just gets tired of waving all the time.

You guys with JK's don't get waves because the JK's, especially the 4 doors, are the new soccer mom mobiles. I drive a YJ and I don't wave to JK's unless they wave first because either they don't get it or they are distracted with their phones, navigation system, etc. When I drive past a CJ, YJ, or TJ I almost always get the wave back.

You are presumptuous ass aren't you? I drive a TJ and wave to every Jeep, if they don't wave back who cares.

I can say the same about the TJs around here who never wave back. They aren't even looking at me to give me a dirty look for driving a soccer mom mobile.

Or, they could be paying attention to driving. But, we will go with the first one. Clearly the more logical explanation.

Soccer Mom's?! Some but not ALL!

Soccer mom's don't all drive 4 door JK's. We've have a 2013 JK Unlimited Rubicon and it's truely not a soccer mom Jeep! Totally a head turner and have the hard core Jeepers checking it out. Of course...we've made some slight modifications to it. Lifted/big tires. With the attention that it gets now...wait till they see the new bumpers & fenders that we're going to be putting on it soon. ;o)

I'm with ya! I wave at everyone! Don't care if they don't wave back! If enough people keep waving to them, they'll (hopefully) realize that it's a Jeep thing and will start returning the wave. If not...who cares!

I wave at every wrangler too. The cool guys in town who head nod get the hand lift off the wheel. The non waving JKUs get a whole hand in the window! I have one I pass every other morning on my way out to I-5 who is now trying to wave at me before I wave at her. Her kids in the back all make a point of waving as well!

My brother drives a Smart Car. He rode in my Jeep with me today and when he saw me waving at other Jeeps, he told me that all Smart Car drivers wave at each other too

I was on vacation for 3 weeks in northern Cali. Every time I drove a borrowed CAR, I saw so many Jeeps, & couldn't wave to them! I was so sad! I got home to a patiently waiting Dewey & we just had to go for a drive. We got 100% waves!!!! I feel so much better now!

My Jeep is in the shop and I have a rental Caravan :'( so no waving to anyone for me.

Why does this van average 10L/100km when my Jeep with the 'same engine' averages 15L/100km! haha (more aerodynamic, less drivetrain loss, yadda yadda i know)

Offical Wrangler Forum Jeep Wave Thread

Bikers in on "the wave too?

I was driving on the bypass headed towards soccer practice when a large group of bikers going the other way gave me "the wave". I waved back but immediately checked my mirrors to see if they were doing it to a fellow biker on my side, no one was around. Are bikers known to be in on the wave with Jeepers? Just curious...

It happens...I get waves from a lot of different vehicles...and have caught myself when I am driving something else besides the Jeeps waving...sometimes I do it on purpose sometimes it is a reflex action.

I was thinking that if just one biker did it then it would be just him waving to me but this was like 12-15 of them doing it all at the same time going by, that's what puzzled me. I know that they have their own wave among themselves but I didn't know they did it with Jeeps too.
Either way, my mom thinks I'm weird waving to people all the time.

Bike riders (most of them) despise anything that puts you in a "cage". Since our Jeeps give us a little freedom from that, most riders respect that fact and appreciate it.

When I'm out pedaling I'm tempted to wave when I see a Wrangler approaching but I figure the driver doesn't know why I'd be waving so I refrain.

They were waving at the biker. Bike to Bike, Jeep to Jeep, semi to semi. It's a thing.
