I only wave now to Jeeps that have some type of offload enhancement. Although, I will ready the wave for every Jeep just in case they wave first.

Unlimited waver here. I notice that the ones that never wave are the women! Lol. I regularly get waves from everyone, JKs, TJs. If they're dudes.

since the OP has been not waved-at by other Rubicon owners, I will now wave at all Jeeps with both hands to make things right with the world.

13 JKUR here, I wave all the time. Most Jeep owners by me do not return the wave, although today I had a few wave back. A few days ago I considered switching to the one-finger wave

Shouldn't matter if your driving a Rubi, 4 door, 2 door, CJ, TJ, YJ, JK or whatever... Having a Jeep is a culture much like the Harley culture... Can't well all just get along? Lol!

I am going to get a decal for the top of my windshield that says "WAVE: It's a Jeep thing!"

What I love is when I am out and about and I get a wave from someone not driving a Jeep. I know that either A) they own a jeep and forgot what vehicle they were in for the day or B) They are previous Jeep owners or 3) I am on fire and they are trying to tell me to pull over.

LMAO!! I was driving my car yesterday, and waved at a Jeep, and the Dude gave me a pretty funny look. My Wife asked what I was doing, and I told her, "I forgot I wasnt in the Jeep....."

Yes us Rubi dudes do wave. I saw about 10 Jeeps today and only 4 waved. Its the chicks that dont wave. If the other guy has a mod, then they almost always are ready before I am with a quick wave.

I use to wave at the chicks, but I get strange looks and even seen a few as they passed adjust the rear view mirror as I went by. They seemed to be like "did I know that dude?"

I will say I have seen almost all motorcycles wave at each other no matter what they drive.

Since I got my trek armor seat covers done today I was very wave happy.

1. The unwritten code for the Jeep Wave is that the driver of the newer Jeep waves first.

2. I never wave at women driving a Jeep. Could be misinterpreted. My wife drives a JK. I don't want other guys waving at her but I would understand if they did because she is HOT!

3. A great number of JK drivers I see (Sport, Sahara, Rubes) are looking at their "smart" phones and would not know if you shot off a signal flare in their behalf.

4. I drive a 2012 JKUS and chuck a deuce at all Jeeps with one exception (see #2 above) even if my Jeep is newer than theirs.

5. I also have a 1978 Jeep CJ-7 so when I am driving it you wave first (see #1 above) unless your CJ or MB is older.

That's is the dumbest thing I have heard yet , a rubi not waving at another jeep because it is not a rubi

You cant tell a rubi from a sport unless you are right on top of it , so I have no idea how you can tell a rubi from a sport at 100yrds away

I've been Jeepless since last October after driving Jeeps since 97. I find myself waving at Jeeps even when I'm not in one.

We, as Rubicon owners, feel it is beneath us to wave at lesser Jeeps.

J/K...

Since I'm a Harley guy and a Jeep guy, my wife gets irritated that I seem to wave at everybody without even thinking about it. I certainly put out more waves than I get coming back. Eh, what can you do.

And Tom...my wife REALLY gets irritated since I ALWAYS seem to wave a women Jeepers...

If a jeeper doesn't wave it's almost always related to ignorance, inattentive Jeeping, or just that they are scouting for an offshoot to wheel!

Wait.. I thought JK owners don't wave. Or was it JKU owners who don't wave? I remember now, women in jku's don't wave. Or, it could have been in-modded jeeps are the ones who don't wave... I'm so confused.

JKUS and I wave at all of em. Some times I am pre occupied and miss the wave. Sometimes, I forget to wave because I'm admiring a mod that was done to the jeep. Sometimes I forget to wave because I admiring the MILF driving the jeep. That's about all.

I often wonder how often people miss me waving since the bottom bar and grab handles on my cage can block the view of my hand?

And I also wonder how many folks that have the windows tinted so dark that you cant see in them are wondering why no one waves back at them.

Nice things cost money that's how it's is but I am a jeep can and love all jeeps not even just mods. I appreciate the dedicated stocker. Jeeps rock and every one who drives one should be proud enough to wave to the other guy!
Right on! I agree with everything you said. Former modded TJ Driver here. I just traded for a stock sahara JKU. Wave factor went way down. I even get the snub from some TJ drivers in my neighborhod who waved when I had a TJ.

I work for a living to earn my nice things, so I am still saving and shopping for mods. I do feel like sometimes the mod drivers out there look down on stock drivers. Not all but some.

Nothing gets me more than waving at some 19 year old douche with a popped collar in a lifted JKU with Nitto Trail Grapplers on 20" Rockstar wheels and has only ever driven in the "urban jungle." Every time that type looks right at you and wont wave back. I've been wheeling since before the better part of that punk dribbled down his mother's thigh.
Sadly, I have also noticed the other type that does not wave. Alas, my fellow stock 4-door drivers are often not jeep people but would-be H3 owners who are shuttling children or doccuments around town.
Now there is nothing wrong with bringing more peple into the fold, but they could at least try to assimilate to the jeep culture if they want the jeep prestige.

I have not noticed the phenomenon with Rubi drivers. If anything, they tend to initiate the wave more than others.

At the end of the day, demographics mean less than the individual. Unfortunately, we have alot of unjeep individuals driving Jeeps since JKs came out.
