I often wonder how often people miss me waving since the bottom bar and grab handles on my cage can block the view of my hand?

And I also wonder how many folks that have the windows tinted so dark that you cant see in them are wondering why no one waves back at them.

I waved to a Jeep while I was running the other day. Guy looked confused but waved back anyway lol.

Nice things cost money that's how it's is but I am a jeep can and love all jeeps not even just mods. I appreciate the dedicated stocker. Jeeps rock and every one who drives one should be proud enough to wave to the other guy!
Right on! I agree with everything you said. Former modded TJ Driver here. I just traded for a stock sahara JKU. Wave factor went way down. I even get the snub from some TJ drivers in my neighborhod who waved when I had a TJ.

I work for a living to earn my nice things, so I am still saving and shopping for mods. I do feel like sometimes the mod drivers out there look down on stock drivers. Not all but some.

Nothing gets me more than waving at some 19 year old douche with a popped collar in a lifted JKU with Nitto Trail Grapplers on 20" Rockstar wheels and has only ever driven in the "urban jungle." Every time that type looks right at you and wont wave back. I've been wheeling since before the better part of that punk dribbled down his mother's thigh.
Sadly, I have also noticed the other type that does not wave. Alas, my fellow stock 4-door drivers are often not jeep people but would-be H3 owners who are shuttling children or doccuments around town.
Now there is nothing wrong with bringing more peple into the fold, but they could at least try to assimilate to the jeep culture if they want the jeep prestige.

I have not noticed the phenomenon with Rubi drivers. If anything, they tend to initiate the wave more than others.

At the end of the day, demographics mean less than the individual. Unfortunately, we have alot of unjeep individuals driving Jeeps since JKs came out.

Interesting topic.

The rubi owners that DO wave are also the type of people who will respond to a thread like this. The ones who don't wave are rolling their eyes and not joining in to thread - just like their behavior when another jeep waves!

See, point proven.

Wow, that was rude. I'm a woman that drives a Sahara and I wave all the time! But then again, I've modified it to the "Queen of England" wave. Oh wait, you're a man, you wouldn't know what that is.

Maybe they are preoccupied with feeling snubbed by all the 10A owners who don't wave at them.

Bad comment! See many factory and mod Sahara's driven by men and woman here! Guys remember we all LIKE jeep wranglers. We all purchased for different lifestyles. How boring if everyone purchased for the same reason!

I wave at all Jeeps. The only time I don't wave is because I didn't notice the other Jeep. I could care less if the Jeep is modded or it's model.

All real Jeepers wave first. Only those that think they are better or thinks their jeep is better because of age or model don't wave at the sign of a Jeep. At most Jeep events I go to it is funny how the real old Jeeps will throw their hands up at any Jeep as soon as they see them and don't care if it is modded or how old it is. The only true snob is anyone that thinks the other Jeep should wave first.

It is a community and that is what the wave is for not a prestige my Jeep is better then yours so you better wave first.

Lmao!!

A jeep is a jeep, it shouldn't matter if you got a yj tj or jk, stock or not. I'll wave at everything with two round headlights and seven grill slits. Even got a wave from an old mail jeep the other day, that was way cool!!

Bunch of northerners move here and buy jeeps thinking they would be "sporty" and "cool" and are the rudest drivers in this city not to mention they never wave. So inconsiderate. Jeep respect... REVOKED! And most of them are JKUs, all the old Jeeps pre Jk wave. There are almost no 2 door JKs here.....

What I find funny about the two who posted above is , the TJ guys are the ones who don't wave because they don't like the JK

Also I have seen more people who won't wave or don't wave because it's not a TJ and older and more stuck up TJ guys or old stuck up guys are the ones who don't wave

So I am driving with my wife in her car. Copper orange Dodge Caliber. Comming around a corner and there sits a family in a Copper orange Dodge Caliber at the light. The guy driving is staring hard at the car we're in so, I wave. My exclaimes, "Oh please don't start that. There doesn't need to be a Caliber thing. A Jeep thing is plenty thanks." At the last second the guy in the other Caliber flings his hand up and waves frantically with a big grin on his face. My wife, "Great, that's just great"

As a new Jeep owner I was completely unaware of the "Jeep wave" so it took me a little while to catch on, now I wave at all of them.

Don't forget the LJ's!

I'm off I-25 and Downing. Green Wrangler here will wave for sure.
