OME shock question....

I posted a thread earlier about my situation.... I have a new question about it now... I bought my 94 yj with a OME lift, 3.5".... Now its sitting at about a little less than 3", Now if i were to buy leaf springs for a 4" lift, would I run in to problems? If so, what and how bad will it be?

Thanks,
Neil

Neil,

How have you changed weight to the vehicle? Your sig says you have quite a bit of armor. Did you lose the height after installing the armor?? It has been my experience that no matter what lift you put on a vehicle it will sag over time. Especially if installed outside the parameters set by the manufacturer.

I have some OME leaf springs on the rear of my TJ and I lost almost an inch after installing some weight in the rear. Once I took that weight out I didn't get it back. Are you sure your rig is bump stopped properly for those springs and what about traction bars?? Do you wheel it hard where the leafs might have taco'd a bit?

i don't think a half inch of travel is gonna affect you very much. some people run stock shocks with BB's. you can run a 4" lift with 3.5" shocks. its just a half inch.
