? on 2003 Wrangler Freedom Edition

I'm nowhere near as familiar with TJ's as I am with CJ's. My questions is this - is the Freedom Edition a rare breed? At first I thought the salesperson was BS'ing me, but after a little internet research - I found it is a legitimate model. Was 2003 the only year they were produced? The one I am looking at is red with the charcoal interior & black soft top. It has the full steel doors w/roll up/dn windows. It has A/C. automatic w/cruise and the 5 disc cd player. The odd thing is that it does not have the center console or a tilt wheel. It does have the chrome rims.
This Jeep only has 8200 org. miles on it. It's like brand new. I'm looking for a Jeep to put some bigger tires & wheels on and a 2-3 1/2 inch. susp. lift on. If this Jeep is some super rare edition, I sure would not want to modify it.
I need some input from you TJ experts out there. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Smittykid

Why wouldn't you want to modify it? It may be a "rare" edition, but, to my knowledge, the only differences are stickers, available colors...(correct me if i'm wrong), just like the Harley Davidson or Tomb Raider editions.
Therefore, engine-wise and body-wise, it's exactly the same Jeep, and you won't have troubles modifying it.
If you're looking for a Jeep, i'd suggest you to buy one in good condition, and, with 8200 miles, this one seems to be a serious option.
Good luck!

btw sorry for my english, i'm french . I hope i could help

x2 . . . don't let a couple of stickers hold you back from doing what you want to it . . . the sales guy might tell you that this edition is something special trying to sell you on it, but it's really not . . . ALL Jeeps are made to wheel and mod into what you want it to be.

BTW . . . there’s no need to apologize for your English . . . it appears as if your mastery of the language is stronger than most of the people that are actually living in the USA!!!
