garage?? you mean there is something that you can put the Jeep in when it's negative 2 out and snowing? I was just starting to get used to the rocks in the elbow and dragging the floor jack in the dirt.

Can you give me reasons why they love it so much?

I've seen a few on the freeway and am a little curious.

i will tell you why we love it. The seats leave enough head and leg room for four 6foot adults to sit comfortably. The caergo area in the rear is not massive but is just the right size for its mission here... grocery getter(we had to get something bigger cuz my wife is 8 weeks pregnant and teh 2door Cobalt wouldnt cut it)... But if you fold down the back seats and fold flat the passenger seat, you can get 8foot 2x4s in the thing.

I love the styling... very boxy with the round headlights and jeep grill. It gets 20mpg even with our lead foots. The interior is actually of high quality with the exception of the A/C vents. It has enough four wheel drive to get through snow in the winter which is all we need, it will never leave pavement im sure. And it didnt break the bank. we paid 22k for the sport model with the 17" wheel package.

If you ever wanted to park your trail rig and get a daily driver this thing is perfect... and if you want to mod it and take it on logging roads... the FDII model or manual 5spd is more than capable and rustys already makes a 2" lift for it.

The only complaint i have in the entire vehicle is the 4 cyl engine is kinda wimpy, but like i said it s just a grocery getter.

I will get more pics up soon... should be warm enough to wash both the jeeps ojn monday.

I thought the 4 cyl engine had plenty of power, even on the interstate at 75 - 80 mph. Being in North Dakota we get alot of wind here and for as boxy as what the Patriot is, it's cuts the wind very nicely and doesn't get thrown around like alot of SUVs does. As for having plenty of room to haul things ... that it does. I bought a 42 inch LCD TV and i didn't have room to put it in my Wrangler, so i had to call my roommate to come and get it for me. LOL

The 4 wheel drive works great. It kicks in automaticly when it senses slipper surfaces. It goes through the snow pretty well. My roommate bought this for peace of mind and bad weather, and so he wouldn't get stuck so often like he did with his last vehicle. It will probably never see any offroading. Hect if i ever decide to get something different from my wrangler i would probably buy a Patriot too.

Plus they are upgrading the interior.

"Chrysler LLC is planning to improve the content and lower the price on 12 of its vehicles as part of a marketing campaign it plans to unveil next month, Vice Chairman and President Jim Press said yesterday during media previews at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, and Dodge Caliber are among the vehicles that will get the treatment, but he wouldn't give further details. The plan will be revealed to dealers at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in February." from mike's totally free jeep news
