Overheating need help

So my jeep wrangler Laredo 89 started overheating and leaking coolant. Because it was leaking from the bottom hose and it looked a little decrepit i figured it was the hose but once I replaced and refilled coolant it still leaked but was not overheating. But this time I noticed coolant was actually pooling at the base of the radiator and then dripping over the hose it also sprayed on the fan and the plastic cover over the fan and I think I see some on the radiator fins. I also noticed that the top large hose coming from top of radiator doesn't seem to have fluid running thru it (not sure if it's supposed to?) and the reservoir level didn't change at all even though it leaked a lot of coolant. Anyways I don't want to throw a money, time, and parts at the wrong problem but I'm guessing it's the radiator that needs replacing? And maybe the water pump? Would really appreciate some advice on what people think it is or ways to determine where the problem actually is before I start repairing.
