Overheating problem

I have a 2000 wrangler. Temperature runs at 210 and the goes all the way to the red and the check gauges light comes on. Overflow was boiling. It is my sons primary vehicle. Took to Firestone and they replaced the thermostat. Did not fix it. Now they want to replace the fan clutch. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If the fan is spinning while the jeep is on its not the fan clutch. Look for leaks in the water system. Busted overflow cap(if the over flow is pressurized) busted radiator cap or leaks on the radiator end caps. The vacuum on the water system raises the boiling temp of the water. Sounds like there is no vacuum and the water is allowed to boil at the std 210 degrees. GL.
