Overlanders?

I'm working on riggin my new 2012 JK with a roof top tent, and many other things. Hopefully will have the essentials done for my yearly July trip to Grandfather Mountain in July. Wondering if there is anyone out there into overlanding and what rigs you have.

I mostly drive overland. There are only a couple tunnels around here.

Not sure if I really consider myself an "overlander" but here is my setup. I personally wouldnt put a RTT on the Jeep since I do way too much off roading but thats me. If you havent already I suggest checking out expeditionportal.com

That is a sweet trailer. You buy that or mod it?

Grandfather is nice - I've hiked that mountain too many times to count and have a nice view of it from some property we have about 35 miles away.

I like basically anything off-road, but am building up more of an overlander JK now; prior to the JK I had a Defender 90 with full exo-cage, a pretty trick interior sleeper bed, and variety of other camping-made-easy mods.

For the JK, I think I'm going to go the route of the trailer and have been looking at a variety of ones lately. I'm really interested in the modular ones being prototyped by a guy over on Expedition Portal right now: Modular Off-road Trailer

With 4 kids, I need sleeping room for 6. I'm going to install a 3rd row for off-road travel, as well.

.... and in May hopefully I'll be back in Moab 'testing' the new rig.

Not pretentious - we just don't like people from Jersey.
