Painting the bumper!

Hey everyone! I just got an '09 Rubicon about a month ago and I am in love! So I just ordered a front bumper from JCR Offroad and i cant wait to get it and put it on my jeep. It comes unpainted and I was wondering what type of paint to use! I know I want it to be a textured black but I have no idea what brand to chose or if I should get if professionally done. Money isn't really an option so any good ideas would help! Also, I want to paint my grille, should I just use regular automotive rattle cans for that or same stuff i paint my bumper with? Anything helps! Thanks!

You can get the bumper coated if you want a really tough finish. Or you can just clean, prime and paint with Rustolium or Krylon or any old rattle can. If I were doing my grill, I would use plasti dip so it can be returned to stock if I ever needed too. Just make sure you put it on REALLY thick. LOTS of light coats. Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Thanks for the quick response! I was going to plasti dip my grill but was worried that the dip would come off if I power washed my jeep, I mean I've heard that would happen. And also you say I can coat the bumper, do you mean powder coat? Thanks!

Rustoleum bedliner will give you a light texture and a durable finish. If you scratch your bumper, simply repaint the area. I used it on my grill too.
