Pentastar Heads on a 3.8 block?

I have been searching for into on how different these motors are. Anyone know if the block is completely different? Any idea on this build?

Do a little more research on the pentastar, the cams have phasers. You will have no way to control cam timing.

Good point, Chrysler is so slow to upgrade power plants. They wonder why everyone is always doing motor swaps. I guess it's just a supercharger or a swap from here. 3.8 sucks

i've just bought a JK here in Oz,The car itself is awesome but totally under powered. I'm asking the same questian as you jaimeson55 regarding the differences in these two powerplants. our compresion is low @ 9.6:1 to start off with so i was thinking a Turbo,but which one, or a Vortech charger V3. I just don't know if i want to do that to the motor just yet

I just ordered the RIPP vortech kit. I plan on tuning it for E85 and then stepping up to 60lb injectors and a 12psi pulley. I think that will about do it. I will let you know how the stock kit is. We need to get some good videos on youtube of the kit, everything up there is boring.

Ripp has a few vids on you tube,the one that impressed me was the guy in the desert doing doughnuts around his mate.

just before you go & further modify the charger after the stock install,go check with a good motor builder cause i'm sure your going to need different valves & springs & decompress the engine alittle,that doesn't cost much in parts but the labour may hurt. 12 psi may take it up to around 17:1 comp ratio which means you could blow your heads & cost lots of dollars. I know with Turbo's,you cant leave the motor stock & double the comp ratio without head work & exhaust,just keep that in mind.
Maybe we can do a group buy cause i'm thinking of buying one.get it cheaper
